Yesterday the Gleaner reported that Det. Sgt. Gladys Brown made history on Saturday by becoming the first local policewoman to qualify as an attorney-at-law. Now imagine my shock this morning as I read the Observer and there is a report on the very same Det. Sgt. Gladys Brown, as she was seriously injured yesterday by a knife-wielding robber after she tried to stave off attempts to rob her. She was leaving an automated banking machine along King Street in downtown Kingston. The AMB is across the road from the Supreme Court. GOOD GRIEF.

Meanwhile, her co-workers are busy busting goat steal rings. Not that catching the goat thieves isn't that important, BUT JEEZ, it looks like us citizens are more at risk of getting our throats cut than the goats themselves.

Anyhow, such is life I guess! Hopefully I'll have something positive to post about by the end of the day :)

Testing testing one two three. Getting this thing started. Last week I thought the Jamaican press must be getting really tired of reporting on murders, robberies and other depressing topics ... because they reported on Clement Lewis creating history. Yes, he was the first to pay on the Highway 2000 toll ... BIG-YEAH-DEAL.

Then today this next Gleaner report shows me why I just love my fellow Jamaicans - Drivers skirt toll; Traffic jams hit Old Harbour again. Rather than pay a $50 toll, people are gone back to using the old route. LOL.

Big up Jamaican international Kevin Lisbie for crashing in three against Liverpool over the weekend.
